Jake Walmsley is half of the YouTube sensation Syncsta. Starting in June of 2006, Jake and Chris Green began creating lip-synced versions of a broad range of popular songs, instantly gathering fame and attention with their posting of "The Gay Barbie Song." To date their videos have been viewed almost 7 million times on YouTube alone.
Though originally just two bored teenagers having fun with a video camera and YouTube, their Internet fame caught the attention of Nigel Martin-Smith, the music manager who created the careers of Take That and Robbie Williams. Who knows what’s in store for Jake and Syncsta but if Take That’s 25 million albums sold combined with Robbie Williams’ 70 million albums sold is any clue, things could be looking really good for the two boys from Derby.
